David Keener has been responsible for the design and implementation of numerous
web sites. A few of his projects are presented below:

professional motorcycle racer. The design is stark and simple, with an energetic home page.

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics NTCM publishes
a variety of highly regarded mathematics journals targeted on the teaching of
mathematics for different age groups. In this project, David Keener worked with
NCTM to design, implement and field a subscription-based web site that made
years of journal articles available to NCTM members online. This was a high-profile
project for NCTM and an extremely successful one. |

community of luxury estate single family homes located in Virginia. For this project,
David Keener worked closely with the Board of Directors to craft a web site that
projected an understated but elegant tone for the community. The site includes an
integrated content management component that allows the community to easily
maintain online information such as community news, events, HOA notices and critical
HOA documents such as the Covenants, Bylaws and Architectural Guidelines. The web
site has evolved into a critical resource for the community. |

Install Calendar The Install Calendar is
an application used by almost 600 internal AOL employees that highlights scheduled software
and hardware installs, as well as events such as moratoriums that may impact the install
schedule. Color-coded entries provide at-a-glance information; the application also
includes extensive drill-down features to provide detailed information as needed. |

 |
Exception Request Tool (ERT) This
web application facilitates emergency and non-standard production installs
at AOL. It tracks install efforts for metrics and also provides an approval
mechanism so that executive management can authorize critical installs. ERT is
also the first internal corporate appplication to be fielded at AOL using
Ruby on Rails, one of the hottest new web technologies. |
Dynamic Metrics Metrics were a
vital component of many AOL applications. The JFreeChart Java library was used
to provide dynamically generated charts and graphs within the context of a
web site, allowing metrics to be integrated into web tools where they would
be available to the people who needed the information the most. |
