David Keener has been responsible for the design and implementation of numerous web sites. A few of his projects are presented below:

Muddawg.com

This striking web site was created for a professional motorcycle racer. The design is stark and simple, with an energetic home page. The inset picture randomly shows different racing scenes each time the web page is loaded.
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics

NTCM publishes a variety of highly regarded mathematics journals targeted on the teaching of mathematics for different age groups. In this project, David Keener worked with NCTM to design, implement and field a subscription-based web site that made years of journal articles available to NCTM members online. This was a high-profile project for NCTM and an extremely successful one.
CareerBank.com

The #1 career site for individuals in the accounting, finance, banking and insurance professions. This is the original look of the site in 2000 when David Keener founded the company with several partners. The company has since been sold to OnTargetJobs.

As a marketing gimmick, the calculator in the upper left corner was fully functional, utilizing JavaScript to perform the actual functions of a calculator.
2008 RubyNation Conference

RubyNation is a regional Ruby conference hosted annually in the Washington DC metropolitan area. In addition to being one of the conference organizers, David Keener was a member of the team that developed the conference web site using Ruby on Rails.
Belle Terra Home Owners Association

Belle Terra is a community of luxury estate single family homes located in Virginia. For this project, David Keener worked closely with the Board of Directors to craft a web site that projected an understated but elegant tone for the community. The site includes an integrated content management component that allows the community to easily maintain online information such as community news, events, HOA notices and critical HOA documents such as the Covenants, Bylaws and Architectural Guidelines. The web site has evolved into a critical resource for the community.
Americonsultant

Americonsultant was a small, DC-based consulting firm started by Jeff Edwards, a local businessman. The organization's specialty was requirements analysis; the site's design reflected the owner's desire to emphasize proper requirements gathering as a key element in mapping a path to deliver quality software.
Business Technologies Release Management

BTRM is a group within American Online that has the mission of ensuring the integrity and quality of software releases within AOL. David Keener worked with BTRM to make process information and automated tools available online to over 900 AOL staff members.
Install Calendar

The Install Calendar is an application used by almost 600 internal AOL employees that highlights scheduled software and hardware installs, as well as events such as moratoriums that may impact the install schedule. Color-coded entries provide at-a-glance information; the application also includes extensive drill-down features to provide detailed information as needed.
Exception Request Tool (ERT)

This web application facilitates emergency and non-standard production installs at AOL. It tracks install efforts for metrics and also provides an approval mechanism so that executive management can authorize critical installs. ERT is also the first internal corporate appplication to be fielded at AOL using Ruby on Rails, one of the hottest new web technologies.
Dynamic Metrics

Metrics were a vital component of many AOL applications. The JFreeChart Java library was used to provide dynamically generated charts and graphs within the context of a web site, allowing metrics to be integrated into web tools where they would be available to the people who needed the information the most.
