Glasgow Airport SUV Crash

It's eerie watching TV and seeing today's terrorist SUV crash at Glasgow Airport. I've spent a lot of time at Glasgow Airport, and the scene was instantly recognizable to me.

My wife, Sally, is Scottish. She's originally from Paisley, which is a suburb of Glasgow. With both family and friends in Scotland, we visit the country at least once, and often twice, a year. When we do, for convenience, we usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express ... at the Glasgow Airport.

The hotel is about 150 yards from the scene of the crash. Additionally, since we use the hotel as a sort of "base" for our travels, we often eat at some of the airport's restaurants while staying in Scotland.

All of which means that we perhaps spend a little more time in or around the Glagow Airport than the typical international traveller. And, let me tell you, it's strange to see someplace where you've spent a lot of time pictured on TV as the scene of a terrorist attack.
