Technical Conferences
Together with a group of fellow IT professionals, I founded and ran several successful Technical Conferences. They were two-day, multi-track events featuring 25 – 30 speakers and audiences of 200 – 300 people. The events were hosted at venues such as local hotels, corporate conference centers (AOL, Oracle, CapitalOne, etc.) and small commercial conference centers in the DC metropolitan area.
The Technical Conferences included:

RubyNation: (2008 – 2018) — Focused on the Ruby programming language, the Rails software development framework, JRuby, and related technologies.

DevIgnition: (2010 – 2017) — Covered technologies of interest to the software development community, providing audiences with exposure to a wide array of useful tools, programming languages, system architectures and more. DevIgnition has continued and is now run by the DCJUG.

NationJS: (2013 – 2017) — Focused on Full-Stack Web Development, including JavaScript (and its variants), Node.js, and frameworks such as React, Angular and others. The event was later continued by other organizations, then eventually rebranded as the Frontrunners Conference Series.
